We Want You, Yes You

Unclesamwantsyou_2 The fact that there are too many jobs, and not enough people to fill them in Australia, is hardly news, but it seems that a few job boards and recruiters are trying to capiltalise on this widely known fact through surveys.

Why it is necessary to quantify what we already know is beyond me, but a recruitment agency has recently concluded  almost half of Australian employees are looking for new jobs.

Why wouldn't they when employees have increased negotiating power and no longer need to bow down to the whims and unrealistic demands of their bosses? As far as I can see its not exactely brain science or rocket surgery.

One interesting fact to come out of the exercise is that South Australian employees are the most satisfied. Despite being the most satisfied state, only 48% of their employees are satisfied, meaning that the majority are not satisfied at all.

So what better reason do you need to browse through JOBX.com.au in your lunch break, coffee break or while you are meant to be doing work because another employer wants you.
